One of the earlier projects that I did was this still life painting. The large set up of still life objects for this project was similar to the set up for the glazing project, insomuch as there was a large variety of various objects with fabric backgrounds. One big difference, however, was that all of these objects were white and the fabrics were solid colors.
This was painted with a more direct approach than the glazing. Things aren't as blended, and you can see a lot of the individual brushstrokes if you look up close.
You may notice the fabric colors reflecting off the white objects I exaggerated this a bit in the painting, but the colors were visible on the real life objects as well.
